Instagram grid maker

Split one photo into ready-to-post tiles for your profile. It runs right in your browser.

Post them in number order, starting with 1. Instagram puts the newest post top left, so your picture builds up from the bottom right.

How it works

How to use the Instagram grid maker

A grid post spreads one image across several tiles so your profile shows the whole picture. This tool splits your photo into 3, 6, 9 or 12 square tiles and numbers them in the order to post.

  1. Upload a photo. It stays on your device and is never uploaded.

  2. Choose a grid size from 3×1 to 3×4 and adjust the crop.

  3. Download the tiles and post them starting from the highest number, so they land in the right place.

FAQ

Questions people ask

In what order do I post grid tiles?

Last tile first. Instagram puts the newest post top-left, so post from the bottom-right tile backwards. The numbers on each tile show the order.

What size are the tiles?

Each tile is a square, ready for the profile grid. Instagram's profile grid now uses a 3:4 preview, so keep important details away from the very top and bottom.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
